# Qualify leads before they reach your team

The agent asks your questions and only transfers serious requests.

- Role: Manager
- Duration: 7 min
- On: Web, Mac

## Before you start

- Be a manager on the Callizy account.
- The questions that make a call a serious request for you.
- The person or team who takes serious requests.

## Step by step

6 steps, about 7 min.

Screenshots show Callizy in French. Button names are given in English.

### 1. Create the agent (2 min)

In **AI voice agents**, click **Create agent**, then **Inbound agent**. Under **Starting point**, click **Leads**: need, timeline, budget, decision-maker. Enter your website address, then **Find the pages** and **Create the agent**.

Menu: Administration › AI voice agents › Create agent

### 2. Read its questions (1 min)

Open the agent, **Behavior** tab. Under **Personality and instructions**, the template block lists its questions: the need, by when, the budget, whether they decide alone, then the contact details. Add your own questions.

Menu: Administration › AI voice agents › your agent › Behavior

### 3. Describe a serious request (2 min)

**Actions** tab, **Call transfers**, then **Add transfer**. Under **When to transfer**, write your rule as you would to a colleague, for example: “When the person has a clear need, a budget and wants to start within a month.”

Menu: Administration › AI voice agents › your agent › Actions › Call transfers

### 4. Choose who gets it (1 min)

Under **To whom**: a **Specific agent**, a **Team** or an **External number**, your cell phone for example. Open **Options**, then choose **Transfer with context**: your colleague hears the context before taking the call. Click **Add**, then **Update**, at the top.

### 5. The other requests (20 s)

Under **Alert you**, the **New lead** alert is already there. When someone wants a call back, you get their name, need, timeline, budget and callback number after the call.

### 6. Connect and test (1 min)

On the agent’s card, **Connect**, then **Always** and **Set up**. Test twice with **Test**: a vague request, then a serious one, which should be transferred.

## Key points

- The agent transfers based on your **When to transfer** sentence: the more precise it is, the better it sorts.
- It never pushes for an answer: if the person prefers not to answer, it moves to the next question.
- It never promises a price or a timeline.

## Not working?

### Callizy shows “No team available.”

1. Create a team first: see [Invite your team and create ring groups](https://callizy.ca/en/apprendre/inviter-equipe). Or choose a **Specific agent**.

### The agent never transfers

1. Reread **When to transfer**: a rule that is too strict is never met.
2. Did you click **Update**, at the top? Without it, the transfer isn’t saved.

### Nobody picks up the transfer

1. Open the transfer’s **Options** and fill in **Message if no one answers (optional)**: the caller hears it. Say you will call them back.
2. For a team, lengthen the **Ring timeout (seconds)**.

## Frequently asked questions

### Does the transfer drop the call?

No. The caller stays on the line while your colleague rings.

### What is the difference between the two modes?

**Direct transfer**: the call goes through with no explanation. **Transfer with context**: your colleague hears the context first.
