# Transfer your number from RingCentral

What to find in RingCentral and keep before transferring your number to Callizy.

- Role: Manager
- Duration: 20 min
- Learning Centre: https://callizy.ca/en/apprendre/quitter-ringcentral

## Before you start

- Be a Super Admin of the RingCentral account, or have one with you: they are the ones who can authorize a number to leave.
- Nothing to ask RingCentral: your new provider, Callizy, makes the transfer request.
- **Keep the numbers active at RingCentral until the transfer is complete.**

## Step by step

8 steps, about 20 min.

Screenshots show Callizy in French. Button names are given in English.

Steps 1 to 6 are done in the RingCentral Admin Portal. Menus are named as in its English version.

**At RingCentral**

### 1. Write down the account number and the PIN (2 min)

**Account number**: usually the company’s main number, 10 digits. Check it on your bill. **Transfer PIN**: RingCentral does not provide one. Write 0000. The details are on [RingCentral’s help page](https://support.ringcentral.com/article-v2/Submitting-your-Porting-order.html?brand=RingCentral&product=RingEX&language=en_US&pills-nav=port_out).

### 2. Find the account holder (3 min)

The account holder is the **company name** and a **Super Admin** of the account, written exactly as in RingCentral. To find the Super Admins: **Admin Portal › Users › User List › Users with Extensions**, then the **Roles** filter set to Super Admin.

### 3. Note the service address (2 min)

**Admin Portal › Phone System › Company Info › Company Address**. With several sites, open **Company Info**, then the number’s site. Write it in Callizy exactly as in RingCentral.

### 4. Download your latest bill (2 min)

Callizy asks for last month’s bill, showing the name, the address and the numbers. Download your latest RingCentral bill.

### 5. Export your contacts and history (5 min)

Personal contacts: in the **Admin Portal**, **My Extension › Contacts › Personal › Export**, then **Start Export**. History and recorded calls: **Analytics & Logs › Call Log › Download**. The log comes as a CSV file, the recordings as MP3. Only the filtered view is downloaded: check the period you chose.

### 6. Remove the numbers from your call rules (5 min)

During the transfer, RingCentral replaces the numbers that leave with temporary numbers. First remove them from your call rules (**call handling rules**). Keep your RingCentral account active until the day of the transfer.

**In Callizy**

### 7. Do the transfer in Callizy (20 min)

In the Administration space, open **Numbers**, then **Transfer a number**. In **Carrier**, write RingCentral. Enter the account number, 0000 as the PIN, the account holder and the address from Company Info, add the bill, then sign the letter. Step by step: [Transfer your current number to Callizy](https://callizy.ca/en/apprendre/transferer-son-numero).

Menu: Administration › Numbers › Transfer a number

**At RingCentral, at the end**

### 8. Cancel RingCentral once the transfer is complete (5 min)

Callizy writes to you when the transfer is complete. Call your number from another phone: it should ring in Callizy. Then contact RingCentral support to cancel your service.
