OpenPhone, renamed Quo in 2025, is a very good phone system. Polished interface, US and Canadian numbers, texting, AI call summaries on the higher plans, HubSpot and Salesforce integrations. It is a San Francisco company, billed in US dollars, with an English-only app.
Callizy is built in Montréal for businesses in Québec and Canada: billed in Canadian dollars, interface and support in French and English, and an AI receptionist that answers in both languages, included in every plan. If your customers are here and some of them call in French, that is where the choice is made.

- You want one of the most polished mobile apps on the market, and AI is not your priority.

Yes. Porting is included in every plan, takes 5 to 10 business days, and a temporary number serves you during the transition. Your customers change nothing.
Is Callizy cheaper than OpenPhone?
On the entry plan, Callizy is $24 CAD and OpenPhone $19 USD: once converted, they are close. The difference is what is included: at Callizy, recording, summaries, ring groups and 30 minutes of AI receptionist are in the first plan; at OpenPhone, some of that needs the $33 USD Business plan.
Does the Callizy AI receptionist speak French?
