Before you start

Step by step

7 steps, about 6 min

Screenshots show Callizy in French. Button names are given in English.

  1. 1

    Connect your calendar

    1 min

In Calendars, click Connect a calendar. Choose Google Calendar, Microsoft 365 or Square Appointments, give the calendar a name, then Continue.

    Administration/Calendars/Connect a calendar

    Open this screen in Callizy
  2. 2

    Allow access

    30 s

Google, Microsoft or Square asks you to allow access, then brings you back to Callizy. Your calendar appears in the list, with the Active status.

  3. 3

    Turn on appointment booking

    30 s

Open your agent, Actions tab. Open Appointment booking, click Activate and choose your calendar.

  4. 4

    Tell it what to ask

    1 min

Under Ask before booking, write what it needs to know, for example the job address and the type of project. The agent asks these questions one at a time and writes the answers in the appointment notes.

  5. 5

Set the duration and the availability

    1 min

Appointment duration: for example 60 minutes; Buffer time: the free time between two appointments. Under Availability, click Edit availability and choose the days and the hours, for example Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. With Square, the duration and the hours are set in Square.

  6. 6

Choose the confirmation sent to the customer

    30 s

Under Options, Confirmation method: SMS, Email, Both or None. At the top, click Update: otherwise, nothing is saved.

  7. 7

    Test

    1 min

Click Test: your settings are saved, then the agent calls your cell phone with Call me. Ask it for an appointment: at the end, it is in your calendar.

Key points

  • A connected calendar is not enough: as long as appointment booking is not turned on in its actions, the agent books none.
  • On the phone, the agent checks your calendar before offering a time, and books when the customer says yes.
  • With Square Appointments, the duration and the hours are set in Square.

Not working?

The “Activate” button does not appear
  1. Connect a calendar first in Calendars: without a calendar, the button shown is Connect a calendar.
The agent books no appointments
  1. Check that Appointment booking shows “calendar linked”.
  2. Click Update, at the top, then test again.
Callizy shows “Calendar connection failed”
  1. Start Connect a calendar again and accept the permissions requested by Google, Microsoft or Square.
Callizy shows “This Square account does not have Square Appointments. Turn it on in Square (free), then reconnect.”
  1. Turn on Square Appointments in Square (it is free), then reconnect the calendar.

Camille's knowledge, and her appointments. In three minutes. Here's the result: Camille knows your services, and she puts appointments in your calendar, even when you're on a job site. To get there, you need Camille, your website address, and a Google, Microsoft 365 or Square account. In “AI voice agents”, click Camille, then the “Knowledge” tab. “Import from a URL”. Type the address of a page on your site, your services for example, then “Import”. Callizy reads the page and formats it. Read it over, fix what needs fixing. Too long? “Clean with AI” keeps the prices and the facts. “Add page”. One page at a time: do it again for your prices or your FAQ. What isn't on your site, write it: “Create a page manually”. A title, then your text, like in a document. “Add page”. Each page has its own switch: turned off, Camille no longer reads it. Now, appointments. In “Calendars”, click “Connect a calendar”. “Google Calendar”, “Microsoft 365” or “Square Appointments”. Here, Google. Give it a name, then “Continue”. Google asks you to allow access, then brings you back here: the calendar is active. Back to Camille, “Actions” tab. Open “Appointment booking”, click “Activate”, and choose your calendar. What she must ask before booking: here, the job address. The appointment duration: sixty minutes. Her availability: Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Under “Options”, the client confirmation: text, email, or “Both”. With Square, duration and hours are set in Square.
