Step by step

5 steps, about 3 min

You buy numbers on the web or on Mac, not in the mobile apps.

  1. 1

    Open Numbers

    20 s

In the Administration space, open Numbers, then click Buy a number.

    Administration/Numbers/Buy a number

    Open this screen in Callizy
  2. 2

    Choose the country and type

    20 s

Country: Canada or United States. Type: Local for a number in your city, Toll-free (1-800) so people can reach you free of charge anywhere in the country.

  3. 3

    Search by area code

    30 s

Enter your customers' Area code (514, 438, 418, 613…). The Contains field helps you find digits that are easy to remember, for example 2024.

  4. 4

    Get the number

    20 s

Click Get on the line you chose. The message “Number … acquired successfully” confirms that the number is yours. It is active right away.

  5. 5

    Choose who answers

    1 min

Open the number's page, Answering tab. By default, it is “Everyone, at the same time”. To change it, follow Choose who answers a number.

Callizy shows “Your trial is limited to 1 number. Activate your subscription to buy more.”
  1. Open Settings › Billing and click “Activate now”.
