My phone doesn't ring

Status, active tab, notifications and business hours: the checks, in order.

Role : EveryoneDuration : 3 minOn : Web, Mac, iPhone, Android

Before you start

  • Your Callizy account.
  • Another phone, to call yourself at the end.

Step by step

7 steps, about 3 min
  1. 1

    Check your status

    10 s

At the bottom left, under your name: Available, with a green dot. It says Do not disturb, red dot? Click your name, then turn off the Do not disturb switch.

    Your name/Do not disturb

    Open this screen in Callizy
  2. 2

Check the app and your profile

    20 s

Do not disturb is also set in the app and in My Profile, and it applies to your whole account: turned on in the phone app, it also silences the computer. In the app’s settings, it must say Available, not Blocked calls (iPhone) or Calls blocked (Android).

  3. 3

    Keep Callizy open

    10 s

On the web, the phone lives in the Callizy tab: closed, it no longer rings. Only one tab rings at a time; the others show Tab inactive. See “Tab inactive”: take back the phone.

  4. 4

    Read the banner

    10 s

“The phone is disconnected.”: click Reconnect. “Reconnecting the phone…”: Callizy reconnects on its own, wait a few seconds. Nothing rings until the phone is back.

  5. 5

    Check your hours

    20 s

With a personal schedule, you only ring during your hours: see My personal schedule, in My Profile. Outside the company’s business hours, the call follows the number’s path, often voicemail. See Do not disturb, call forwarding and personal schedule.

  6. 6

    On the phone, allow Callizy

    30 s

In the phone’s settings, allow notifications and the microphone for Callizy. On Android, Callizy also asks to See incoming calls: tap Allow, or the call screen won’t show while the phone is locked.

  7. 7

    Test

    1 min

Call the company number from another phone, during business hours. Your colleagues ring but you don’t? Your manager checks the call’s path: see Choose who answers a number.

  • A call rings on the computer and the phone at the same time: answer wherever you like.
