Transfer your number from Rogers
The account number, the bill and the text to confirm at Rogers.
Role : ManagerDuration : 25 min
Before you start
- Be the Rogers account holder, or authorized for the business.
- Access to MyRogers, or your latest Rogers bill.
- For a cell phone: the phone with its Rogers SIM card, turned on, on the day of the transfer.
Step by step
7 steps, about 25 min- 1
At Rogers
Find your account number
2 minIn MyRogers, it appears on the Overview page. It is also on your bill. Copy it digit by digit.
- 2
Download your latest bill
2 minIn MyRogers, on the Overview page, click View bill, then Save PDF. The bill must show the account holder’s name, the service address and the numbers to transfer.
- 3
Transfer PIN and IMEI
1 minFor a cell phone, Canadian carriers ask for only one of these: the account number, the account password or PIN, or the phone’s IMEI. So the account number is enough. Rogers did not give you a transfer PIN? Leave the field blank in Callizy. For a landline, what counts is the account holder’s name and the service address: write them as on the bill.
- 4
Under contract? Check your terms
5 minAre you under contract, or is your phone financed with Rogers? Fees may apply under your terms: check them in your agreement or with Rogers. Otherwise, there are no fees to leave.
- 5
Keep the line active until the end
4 to 8 daysDo not cancel anything with Rogers before the transfer is complete. For a cell phone, Rogers sends a text to the number: reply YES within 90 minutes, with no other word or punctuation. Without a reply, the request is cancelled. Several lines: one text per line, each one to confirm. Phone lost or broken? Call Rogers at 1-877-327-8503.
- 6
In Callizy
Do the transfer in Callizy
10 minWith the account number and the bill, make the request in Callizy. Write “Rogers” in Carrier, then the name and address exactly as on the bill. Everything is explained in Transfer your current number to Callizy.
- 7
After the transfer
Once the transfer is complete, close the old service
5 minWait until Callizy writes to tell you the transfer is complete. Usually, the service for the transferred number is cancelled on its own. To cancel another service, call Rogers: an agent reviews the account with you.
